Direct Support Professional

$18.50/hour

The role of the Direct Support Professional offers exciting opportunities for creative and structured engagement with our clients. You will watch them grow as individuals while they gain independence and confidence in themselves through your teaching process.

Although no experience is required, ideal candidates will possess understanding, patience, and a willingness to be a team player. If you have initiative and are self-motivated, this position may be perfect for you. Experienced Direct Care Workers, as well as CNAs, LPNs, PCAs, Teaching Assistants, and Para professionals are encouraged to apply. Excellent communication skills are imperative and you must be comfortable engaging and interacting with the people we serve, their families and colleagues.

Body mechanics and strength requirements are needed when working with and assisting individuals utilizing wheelchairs, gait belts, lifts or mat work.

Driver

Riverside Industries, Inc. is actively seeking qualified Van Drivers to join our dedicated team. You will transport individuals with disabilities between their homes and our program in Easthampton, MA. This position is an integral role to Riverside Industries’ 50+ year old mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live rich and full lives. Help start and end our clients’ day with a smile! Establish interpersonal relationships within the communities we serve – you can make a difference!

Ideal candidates will be comfortable driving in all New England weather conditions. You must possess compassion, understanding and a willingness to be adaptable. Previous van driving experience is preferred but not required. Our well maintained fleet of vans and transportation hub are located in Easthampton, MA and our vans serve the entire Pioneer Valley area. There are additional physical requirements for this position in assisting our clients with safe entry, secure travel and exit off of vans, as needed.

Shifts:
10 hours/week or 20 hours/week.Split shifts available: 6:30/7:00am – 9:00am AND/OR 2:30pm – 4:30/5:00pm. Weekdays ONLY – no evenings or weekends.

Requirements:

  • Must be 19 years or older with a valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to pass a RMV Record with minimum 3 years of driving experience
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment CORI, drug screen, physical exam and fingerprinting

BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)

$37.50/hour

We are actively hiring a full time BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) to join our dedicated team. The purpose of this position is to develop and monitor behavior support plans and individual treatment plans, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical ethics. The BCBA provides staff training and development specific to clinical programming. In addition, the BCBA will represent Riverside as a clinician in meetings with other agencies and DDS as well as serve as a member of the Life Enrichment Professional Interdisciplinary Team. The role of the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) offers exciting opportunities for creative and structured engagement with our clients. The responsibilities of the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct behavioral assessments for each Life Enrichment client
  • Develop procedures for addressing behavior problems that cannot be managed with routine classroom or workplace procedures
  • Develop and monitor targeted or intensive plans for any clients requiring such, in conformity with DDS regulations
  • Conduct and analyze functional behavior analysis/assessments
  • Design and oversee data collection systems to measure progress
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the agency’s PBS system (Positive Behavioral Support)
  • Create and provide staff training, development and feedback specific to clinical programming
  • Ensure that all required signatures are obtained, then submit plan to Human Rights Committee
  • Attend Human Rights Committee meetings as requested and necessary
  • Represent Riverside and its plans to the Peer Review Committee as necessary
  • Serve as professional interdisciplinary team member – in the role of clinician – to develop and review member’s services
  • Notify program directors of violations of regulations that may occur at Riverside Industries, Inc.
  • Review targeted and intensive plans monthly, or as required by regulations
  • Write monthly and quarterly plan reviews and submit to Human Rights Committee
  • Consult with staff re: development of quarterly and annual objectives
  • Develop therapeutic sequences as needed
  • Observe each zone or program room monthly
  • Attend group meetings with staff, as requested and required
  • Keep abreast of developments in Behavior Analysis and revise services accordingly.

The requirements of the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) include but are not limited to:

  • Hold Massachusetts license for BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
  • Preferred – working knowledge of DDS and MassHealth regulations relevant to clinical practice; ensure that regulations are followed
  • One year’s experience developing behavioral programming for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities
  • Must have effective organization, time management, problem solving, interpersonal communication and writing skills
