Direct Support Professional

$18.50/hour

The role of the Direct Support Professional offers exciting opportunities for creative and structured engagement with our clients. You will watch them grow as individuals while they gain independence and confidence in themselves through your teaching process.

Although no experience is required, ideal candidates will possess understanding, patience, and a willingness to be a team player. If you have initiative and are self-motivated, this position may be perfect for you. Experienced Direct Care Workers, as well as CNAs, LPNs, PCAs, Teaching Assistants, and Para professionals are encouraged to apply. Driver

Riverside Industries, Inc. is actively seeking qualified Van Drivers to join our dedicated team. You will transport individuals with disabilities between their homes and our program in Easthampton, MA. This position is an integral role to Riverside Industries’ 50+ year old mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live rich and full lives. Help start and end our clients’ day with a smile! Establish interpersonal relationships within the communities we serve – you can make a difference!

Ideal candidates will be comfortable driving in all New England weather conditions. You must possess compassion, understanding and a willingness to be adaptable. Previous van driving experience is preferred but not required. Our well maintained fleet of vans and transportation hub are located in Easthampton, MA and our vans serve the entire Pioneer Valley area. There are additional physical requirements for this position in assisting our clients with safe entry, secure travel and exit off of vans, as needed.

Shifts:
10 hours/week or 20 hours/week.Split shifts available: 6:30/7:00am – 9:00am AND/OR 2:30pm – 4:30/5:00pm. Weekdays ONLY – no evenings or weekends.

Requirements:

  • Must be 19 years or older with a valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to pass a RMV Record with minimum 3 years of driving experience
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment CORI, drug screen, physical exam and fingerprinting

Administrative Assistant

$19.00 - $22.00/hour

Riverside is located at One Cottage Street, in the heart of downtown Easthampton, MA, for over 50 years! Riverside is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team and support our mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live rich and full lives!

The role of the Administrative Assistant is varied, fast paced and you will always be busy! This position assists the department Directors and reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Duties require effective verbal and written communications skills with excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills. Visual acuity to written material and computer screen data, broad knowledge of MS Office applications and Teams, and the ability to learn and use other new software. Effective interpersonal skills with diverse populations and the ability to work independently and with little supervision is a must. In addition, the ability to create, redesign and maintain workable solutions with great accuracy for tracking and reporting various types of business information is critical to this position. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform clerical duties for the Department Directors, including processing correspondence and reports, general office assistance such as data processing, filing, and handling of telephone calls.
  • Assist Directors with preparation of Requests for Proposals and Contracts, as well as processing of Amendments, preparation of Grant Proposals, direct mail campaigns, special events planning, fundraising, special projects and updating database and reports.
  • Assist Directors with Audits and Accreditation surveys.
  • Act as Training Coordinator maintaining individual staff training files, sending out notices of scheduled trainings, scheduling classrooms and preparing physical setup and materials, etc.
  • Liaison between recruiter and hiring managers, assist with paperwork (DPPC and RMV) and CORI and SORI for candidates who receive an offer of employment.
  • Work directly with appropriate Directors to collect, maintain and organize materials for various agency audits and accreditation reviews.
  • Process and distribute Service Committee, Safety Committee and other Committee minutes as necessary.
  • Answer multiple line phone system and relay information to appropriate staff and/or departments.
  • Process company cell phone changes and troubleshooting as needed for staff with our cell service provider.
  • Submit IT tickets on behalf of staff, participate in the IT meetings.
  • Serve as liaison to a variety of 3rd party vendors, reporting and/or submitting troubleshooting tickets and coordinating vendor visits to the facility.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week; 8:00am to 4:30pm
Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Education:
