Employment

Employment next to individual placementThe purpose of Riverside's Employment Services is to assist people in discovering the type of work they like and to teach the job skills necessary for a satisfying employment experience. We provide assistance in securing employment and supporting people to be successful on the job. Services are individualized, meeting the goals of the employee and the requirements of the employer.

Riverside Employment works in partnership with the Department of Developmental Services, area schools, local Chambers of Commerce, Career Centers, and many other community resources to provide comprehensive, varied, and flexible support. We have long-standing relationships that ensure each participant receives a broad scope of support services necessary for successful employment.

Options for Riverside participants wanting a job include, but are not limited to:

Individual Placement
Individual placements match participants with local businesses, schools, or organizations. These placements allow participants to work on their own with minimal support from the employer and infrequent behind-the-scenes support from Riverside. Learn more

Employment page next to Mobile Work CrewMobile Work Crews
Mobile work crews are small groups of participants hired to fulfill jobs from local employers. A full-time Employment Specialist provides continuous on the job support and supervision in order to ensure success for each participant, while meeting the employer's job requirements. These dependable work crews are a reliable and cost-saving option for local businesses. Riverside Gardens and Riverside Lawn Crew are examples of what our mobile crews can do for you.

Pre-Employment Transition Services
Riverside Industries’ Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) is a unique opportunity for high school students with disabilities transitioning from school into adult life. It provides students with job exploration, social skills training and a competitive, integrated vocational experience in the community. Our Pre-ETS services are designed to give students an introduction to work that will serve to inform their future vocational choices, develop work habits and obtain experiences that will make them more marketable in the competitive workforce.
